OS ARTISTAS PLÁSTICOS E A PERFORMANCE NA CIDADE DE SALVADOR: UM PERCURSO HISTÓRICO-PERFORMÁTICO

RESUMO

Esta pesquisa em Teoria e História da arte buscou investigar a performance apresentada por artistas plásticos na cidade de Salvador, Bahia, de maneira multidisciplinar, desde as primeiras experiências (década de 1970) até às produções contemporâneas. Este trabalho descreve e analisa as performances representativas num diálogo entre teorias filosóficas e conceitos da arte contemporânea – ênfase na História da arte. Para tal articulação foram fundamentais os conceitos e as teorias de Antonin Artaud, Gilles Deleuze & Félix Guattari, Michel Foucault, RoseLee Goldberg, Richard Schechner, Peggy Phelan, Jorge Glusberg, Renato Cohen, Maria Beatriz de Medeiros. Este trabalho também descreve e analisa as performances apresentadas por alguns performers internacionais e outros artistas brasileiros.

ABSTRACT

This research in History of the art has the aim of investigating the performance exhibited for visual artists in the city of Salvador, Bahia, in a “multidisciplinarian” way since the first experiences (1970) until the contemporary productions. This work describes and analyzes the representative performances in a dialogue between philosophical theories and concepts of the contemporary art – emphasis in the History of the art. For such connections, were essential the concepts and theories of Antonin Artaud, Gilles Deleuze & Félix Guattari, Michel Foucault, RoseLee Goldberg, Richard Schechner, Peggy Phelan, Jorge Glusberg, Renato Cohen, Maria Beatriz de Medeiros. This work also describes and analyzes performances exhibited for some international performers and other Brazilian artists.
