Short Bio
Bia Figueiredo is interested in poetics and politics of the body, develops artistic works in Performance, Dance and in audiovisual media. She is a co-founder of Água Viva Concentrado Artístico, with which she organize TRANSBORDA - Mostra de Performance e o Encontro de Compositores (Performance and the Composers' Meeting). She was a member of the GranGran (hybrid experimentation group), he also collaborates with other artists and artistic collectives. She is the interpreter of the work "Choreography study # 1" by Michelle Moura. With the performance "Oblation, was in the 17th Edition of the Sesc Cariri Culture Exhibition. In 2015, she was awarded the Funarte Klauss Vianna Dance Award with the "Bimobaba" project. He is an artist who created CRUA – Laboratório de Experimentação Artística, which has had three editions.
Nowadays, it has as research axis in its artistic works the creation of ways to subvert practices that reinforce the objectification of a female body.
